Will Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook accept your email?
Gmail and Yahoo since 2024, and Microsoft’s Outlook.com since May 2025, junk or refuse mail from senders that don’t authenticate it. See whether your domain has what they ask for. Free, and nothing to sign up for.
Every sender
Gmail and Yahoo ask everyone for SPF or DKIM, reverse DNS on sending servers, TLS, and a spam complaint rate under 0.3%.
5,000 or more emails a day
Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook.com also require SPF and DKIM, a DMARC record of at least p=none, and a From address aligned with SPF or DKIM. Gmail and Yahoo want one-click unsubscribe in marketing mail.
What happens if you don’t
Mail is sent to junk, then refused. Microsoft started by junking non-compliant mail from bulk senders to Outlook.com, Hotmail and Live addresses.
